Sr. Engineer, Facilities and Utilities, ARI Engineering Projects

Location: West Greenwich, Rhode Island, United States; onsite facilities and infrastructure engineering role.

What you will do

• Lead and support capital projects involving site utilities, facility modifications, civil/site development, fire protection, and manufacturing infrastructure.
• Coordinate projects from concept through design, construction, commissioning, qualification, startup, and turnover.
• Provide technical oversight for architectural, MEP, civil, structural, fire protection, fire alarm, stormwater, drainage, utility routing, and facility integration work.
• Support permitting, inspections, regulatory approvals, outage planning, construction sequencing, operational readiness, and startup activities.
• Interface with municipal officials, fire marshals, building inspectors, engineering firms, FM Global representatives, and internal engineering, manufacturing, EHSS, automation, and capital project teams.
• Manage engineering design, resources, bids, construction administration, equipment startup, troubleshooting, risk assessments, and continuous improvement while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED and 10 years of engineering experience; or an associate degree and 8 years; bachelor's degree and 4 years; or master's degree and 2 years.
• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, GMP, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of IBC, NFPA, FM Global standards, OSHA regulations, and municipal permitting processes.
• Experience with capital project management, facilities engineering, infrastructure upgrades, construction management, and commissioning and qualification.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, technical problem-solving, and cross-functional influence skills.
• Experience with facility utilities and systems such as HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, compressed and cryogenic gases, electrical systems, building automation, fire protection, laboratories, chemical storage, and site infrastructure.
