Summer 2027 Internship Program - Accounting Internship

Location: Alexandria, Virginia; interns outside the area may work remotely but must travel to headquarters for the in-person week.

Salary: $18–$28/hour, plus overtime pay for hours worked over 40 per week.

Kearney & Company provides accounting, auditing, consulting, and technology services focused on federal government clients.

What you will do

• Support accounting, audit, and/or IT audit engagements for federal government clients.
• Collaborate with project teams and contribute to client-site work depending on the assignment.
• Participate in an intern-led company-wide community service project.
• Complete the week-long intern orientation and available training opportunities.
• Participate in company-wide events and social activities.

Requirements

• Currently be a sophomore, junior, or senior, or pursuing a fifth year, at an accredited college or university.
• Pursue a BA/BS degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Accounting and Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.
• Be able to obtain and maintain an interim U.S. Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Be available for the eight-week program starting in June, Monday–Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
