Russian Interpreter (Humanitarian Operations)

Location: Global deployment with initial training in Geneva, followed by international field assignments

What you will do

• Provide Russian-English interpreting for humanitarian operations.
• Support efforts to restore family links.
• Facilitate dialogue with authorities.
• Support detention visits and communication in the field.
• Work in complex and potentially challenging environments.

Requirements

• At least two years of professional experience.
• Russian and English at minimum C1 level.
• Strong motivation for humanitarian work.
• Ability to work under pressure, with adaptability and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to accept mobile international assignments and unaccompanied field postings.
• Valid driving licence and good health for field deployment.

Nice to have

• Previous interpreting or translation experience.
• University degree in interpreting or translation.
• Ukrainian at B2 level.
• Knowledge of French, Spanish, Arabic, or Portuguese.
