Salary: $130,000–$200,000 annual, plus equity

hirify.global is an early-stage hardware startup developing the hardware, software, fabrication facilities, tools, and components needed to manufacture chips.

What you will do

  • Design, prototype, and develop precision electromechanical and optical components and systems.
  • Assemble, test, debug, and advance complex systems toward production.
  • Integrate off-the-shelf motion stages, metrology equipment, and other components.
  • Perform detailed system analysis and simulations to evaluate designs and constraints.
  • Work with suppliers to source components and materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 6+ years of industry experience in electromechanical or optical system design and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of precision machine design, including exact-constraint design, kinematic couplings, flexures, error budgeting, structural loops, and tolerance analysis.
  • Mechanical 3D CAD experience.
  • Experience designing and simulating optical systems; Zemax is preferred.
  • A portfolio demonstrating built and tested hardware or optical systems is generally required.

Nice to have

  • Formal training in precision engineering.
  • Early-stage startup experience.
  • Familiarity with firmware, controls, or electrical engineering.
