Senior Plumbing Engineer

Salary: $115,000–$150,000 annually, not adjusted for location.

What you will do

• Lead plumbing engineering design, calculations, analysis, and quality assurance for new construction and existing building improvements.
• Act as the responsible engineer during design, contractor, and client meetings, making decisions and answering technical questions.
• Develop plumbing drawings, specifications, and system layouts that meet code, budget, schedule, quality, and constructability requirements.
• Balance design work across multiple projects in life science, distribution, industrial manufacturing, food and beverage, and other industrial process markets.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with the project scope.
• Coordinate with development, architecture, engineering, and construction teams from conceptual design through construction documentation and completion, while guiding entry-level plumbing engineers and designers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or college.
• 10+ years of related plumbing engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks.
• Strong understanding of IPC, UPC, and IBC standards, building codes, engineering principles, and industry standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, time management, and adaptability skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, with the ability to obtain licensure in multiple states.

• Familiarity with Bluebeam.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
