Business Development Officer 1

Location: Bethesda, Maryland, United States; onsite at 7475 Wisconsin Ave.

Salary: $94,146.00–$156,910.00 per year, plus potential overtime, incentive, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop new small business loan and deposit relationships and service existing accounts.
• Prospect customers, make cold calls, maintain a calling program, and identify lending, deposit, insurance, and investment needs.
• Sell and cross-sell small business products and refer customers to banking specialists.
• Build community visibility and maintain networking and referral sources.
• Prepare reports on calling activity, deposits, loans, and referrals.
• Coach other Business Development Officers and Branch Managers and participate in joint calling with business partners.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree.
• At least 7 years of experience, including external banking sales.
• Several years of experience as a calling officer with production in small business loans and deposits.
• General knowledge of financial institution lending policies and procedures.
• Excellent project management, communication, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Basic Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills, plus intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
