Audit Manager (CPA)

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States. Work location may change based on client requirements; travel of up to 25% may be required. Active Secret Clearance or higher and U.S. citizenship are required.

Salary: $77,000–$125,000 base pay annually, plus potential overtime pay, benefits contributions, and bonuses.

What you will do

• Supervise accounting professionals and support staff as the first line of team oversight.
• Oversee quality control activities, including comprehensive work paper reviews.
• Review staff work and draft engagement deliverables.
• Provide technical expertise in accounting and internal controls.
• Delegate assignments, guide staff development, and support knowledge sharing.
• Present final results to management and deliver high-quality client work with limited supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
• At least 4 years of accounting and/or auditing experience, including 1 year of financial statement audit experience.
• At least 1 year of experience working with Federal and/or Department of Defense clients.
• CPA license or certification and management or leadership experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, and project management skills.
• Active Secret Clearance or higher and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• MBA or MS degree.
• Prior proposal process experience.
