Certified Residential Appraiser - Houston TX

What you will do

• Assess market areas, property data, statistics, and relevant neighborhood factors to develop impartial property value estimates.
• Document on-site assessments with photographs, measurements, comparable sales values, and demographic information.
• Draw land diagrams and prepare other visual property documentation.
• Evaluate construction, condition, special features, functional design, community changes, schools, parks, and other factors affecting value.
• Generate fee quotes and present evaluations and property value estimates to buyers, sellers, investors, creditors, leasing professionals, and real estate agents.
• Partner with the Lead Appraiser on requests, process improvements, quality control, meetings, and deadline escalation.

Requirements

• Active appraiser license or certification required by the applicable state regulatory agency.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 0–1 years of related experience with a mortgage or appraisal company.
• Ability to analyze data, draw sound conclusions, write clear narratives, and communicate with varied audiences.
• Ability to manage client-driven deadlines in a fast-paced, accurate environment.
• Strong organization, multitasking, prioritization, attention to detail, and follow-up skills.

Nice to have

• REO appraisal experience.
• HUD/FHA experience.
