2027 M&A Summer Associate (M&A)

Base salary: $175,000–$175,000 per year

What you will do

• Support live M&A transactions and client engagements alongside experienced banking professionals.
• Lead multiple workstreams and advance transaction-related deliverables in partnership with analysts.
• Prepare accurate, client-ready analyses and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Analyze complex datasets with tools such as Capital IQ and FactSet and identify relevant trends.
• Translate financial analysis into actionable insights, deal strategy, and client recommendations.
• Build relationships with deal teams, senior bankers, clients, and C-suite stakeholders.

Requirements

• Ability to work in the U.S. without employment visa sponsorship; hirify.global does not support employment visas or STEM OPT for this position.
• Recent university or college graduate profile with little or no professional experience; comparable education, certifications, experience, or military service may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Strong learning agility, curiosity, proactive learning, and ability to incorporate feedback.
• Clear verbal and written communication, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, data validation, tables, and conditional formatting, plus PowerPoint proficiency.
• Working understanding of the income statement, cash flow statement, and balance sheet, with willingness to deepen accounting, valuation, and financial modeling expertise.
• Ability to identify trends in complex data, solve problems, and explain the impact of analysis.
• Ownership, collaboration, attention to detail, planning, organization, leadership, teamwork, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• AI literacy: ability to use and direct AI tools while retaining ownership of quality, accuracy, and judgment.
