Construction Risk Analyst

Location: HQ - San Diego, California, United States

Salary: $29.00–$34.00 per hour, plus discretionary annual cash bonus and restricted stock unit bonus targets of 5% each.

What you will do

• Manage construction draws for a portfolio of commercial loans using a risk-based approach.
• Analyze construction draw packages and collect project-related documentation.
• Monitor commercial credits, covenants, borrower inquiries, and portfolio data.
• Draft recommendations based on project progress, budget adherence, and lien releases.
• Monitor construction progress reports, identify delays and risks, and resolve draw-related issues with borrowers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate draw records while ensuring compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and funding conditions.

Requirements

• Ability to review and understand basic construction concepts and construction documents.
• Ability to analyze project progress, budgets, lien releases, and construction draw documentation.
• Understanding of credit risk, credit culture, and portfolio risk tolerance.
• Ability to support monitoring policies and procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Employment eligibility is verified through the U.S. E-Verify program.
• Successful completion of credit, criminal background, and pre-employment drug checks, including marijuana screening, is required.
