Analyst, Underwriting – Construction – Houston, TX

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. This is an in-person opportunity requiring work in the office at least four days per week.

What you will do

• Support the evaluation and underwriting of risks associated with commercial construction and infrastructure projects.
• Review project information, financial data, loss history, and other exposures to support risk selection, pricing, and coverage decisions.
• Collaborate with underwriters, risk engineers, claims professionals, and multinational specialists to develop tailored insurance solutions.
• Build relationships with brokers and clients while supporting new business and renewal opportunities.
• Evaluate changing exposures throughout the project lifecycle and identify risk-management considerations.
• Develop knowledge of construction insurance, industry trends, emerging risks, and core underwriting practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed no later than June 2027; an unofficial transcript is required with the application.
• Availability to start the program on July 26, 2027.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional environment.
• Analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to collaborate, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• Major in Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Interest in construction, infrastructure, commercial insurance, or risk management.
