Construction Surety Underwriter - Financial Analyst

Location: Centennial, Colorado, United States; regular in-person meetings with agents and brokers and travel are required.

Annual base salary: $70,400–$116,200, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention for an assigned book of construction surety business.
• Underwrite and negotiate routine customer accounts in line with risk appetite and profitability objectives.
• Analyze business operations, financial statements, financial challenges, and market conditions to evaluate risk.
• Execute underwriting, agency, regional, and group sales strategies with leadership guidance.
• Build relationships with internal partners, agents, and brokers to identify cross-selling and new business opportunities.
• Market and sell hirify.global surety products through regular meetings with external partners.

Requirements

• At least one year of related professional experience.
• One to three years of applicable underwriting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Working knowledge of insurance or surety products, the regulatory environment, and local market conditions.
• Critical thinking skills for underwriting, financial analysis, product marketing, and risk-based decision-making.
• Communication and negotiation skills for working with agents and brokers.
