Project Accountant (Construction)

Location: Concord, California, United States; full-time onsite role

Compensation: $28.84–$39.95

What you will do

• Maintain and process accounting transactions for construction projects.
• Assist project managers with monthly draws in Textura and follow up with subcontractors on billings.
• Prepare AIA billings and assemble supporting documentation.
• Reconcile credits for wrap-up insurance programs, including OCIP, PLP, and PSI.
• Prepare vendor credit applications and review owner contracts for accounting responsibilities.
• Monitor preliminary-notice preparation and mailing, while supporting other accounting team members.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent education, or four years of related experience and training.
• At least two years of construction accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting procedures and principles.
• Experience with online integrated accounting systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to organize work, manage multiple projects, and instruct or review supporting staff.
• Effective written and verbal English communication skills, including a professional telephone manner.
