Automation Engineer (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Identify and prioritize automation opportunities across data, reporting, and engineering workflows.
• Build and maintain automations using SQL, Python, ETL, workflow technologies, and approved AI-assisted development tools.
• Automate data extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, reporting, and distribution.
• Replace manual and spreadsheet-dependent processes with scalable, reusable technical solutions.
• Support Power BI data preparation, dataset refreshes, publishing, and reporting automation.
• Troubleshoot data-quality issues, integrations, recurring processes, and automation failures while partnering with technical and business teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data automation, software development, data engineering, analytics engineering, BI, or a related field.
• Strong SQL development, troubleshooting, and optimization skills.
• Proficiency with Python or a comparable scripting or programming language.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, workflow automation, data pipelines, and scheduled processes.
• Working knowledge of Power BI and data and reporting workflows.
• Understanding of data validation, reconciliation, exception handling, and data quality; a related bachelor's degree is preferred, with equivalent experience considered.

• Experience in healthcare, HEDIS, compliance, audit, or another regulated industry.
