Material Handler Receiving Lead - 1st Shift

What you will do

• Coordinate material handling, receiving, picking, and delivery of warehoused parts to assembly areas.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely, including completing daily inspections.
• Work with production lines to support efficient use of people, materials, and equipment.
• Use the ERP system to access information and complete material transactions.
• Train employees across work areas and provide cross-functional support.
• Lead problem solving and implement improvements to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.

Requirements

• Ability to operate or learn to operate material-handling equipment.
• Ability to identify and resolve basic problems, with advanced troubleshooting skills for higher-level responsibilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with other departments.
• Ability to cross-train in multiple operations and train employees in established processes.
• Two years of material-handling or forklift-operation experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment, with forklift certification.
• Strong professional work ethic, attention to detail, attendance, and commitment to safety and quality.
