Senior Technician Test & Characterization Engineering

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global Laboratory inside Politecnico di Torino, Torino, Italy; the hirify.global Semiconductor Italiana site is in Borgaro Torinese, Italy.

What you will do

• Support power semiconductor characterization within the R&D laboratory team.
• Manage the hardware and software of electronic measurement instruments, including technical manuals, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, adaptations, and laboratory setups.
• Diagnose tester and electronic-board anomalies, perform advanced fault analysis and hardware repairs, and implement small equipment improvements.
• Perform periodic calibration and maintenance of measurement instruments.
• Define calibration methods and procedures and contribute to the refinement of laboratory equipment and fixtures.

Requirements

• Technical diploma in electronics or an equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of electrotechnical experience with measurement equipment and test instrumentation.
• Ability to diagnose hardware failures using oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and bench power supplies.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, solder, and replace electronic components.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards, metrology principles, and hands-on calibration planning, execution, and documentation.
• Experience developing test automation software with LabVIEW and using CAD-related board design software; technical English is required for documentation and supplier communication.
