Data Science Analyst, Equity Research, Healthcare Team (AI)

Location: Boston, MA, United States; New York, NY may also be selectively considered. Employees work from the office 4 days per week and remotely 1 day per week.

Base salary: USD 90,000–180,000 per year, plus potential bonus, incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with Global Industry Analysts and Portfolio Managers on healthcare investment research.
• Translate broad investment questions into testable data science workflows and actionable analytical outputs.
• Apply AI, LLM, and agentic tools to streamline research and support investment idea generation.
• Develop differentiated signals, screens, analytical frameworks, and repeatable research tools from alternative and structured datasets.
• Evaluate dataset quality, coverage, bias, representativeness, and signal durability.
• Partner with Data Engineering to productionize high-value signals.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in data science, alternative data, investment research, healthcare analytics, or a related analytical role.
• Experience working with investment teams, research teams, or senior business stakeholders.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with AI/LLM tooling, agentic workflows, and large, messy real-world datasets.
• Hands-on experience sourcing and evaluating emerging alternative datasets and assessing signal robustness.
• Strong communication, judgment, investment acumen, and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.
