What you will do

• Conduct research on multimodal foundation models, agentic AI, robustness, and efficient GenAI.
• Develop scalable, intelligent, and trustworthy AI systems for manufacturing, energy, sensing, driving assistance, and related Bosch products.
• Transfer in-house research innovations and third-party AI solutions into products and services with international experts and internal business units.
• Track technological and market developments through conferences, technical events, and seminars.
• Provide expert input for technology strategy, R&D direction, and investment decisions.
• Document and disseminate findings through high-quality publications and patent submissions.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or a master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant industry experience after graduation.
• 4+ years of research or equivalent graduate research experience in multimodal foundation models, agentic AI, robust GenAI, or efficient GenAI.
• Deep experience in foundation models and at least two areas including time-series analysis, LLMs, VLMs/MMLMs, inference efficiency, large-model deployment, or robustness.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or another systems-research programming language, plus hands-on experience with AI libraries.
• Publication record in leading venues such as ICML, ICLR, ICRA, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, or NeurIPS.
• Strong English communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Strong background in mathematics, statistics, and computational modeling.
• 3+ years of industrial research experience.
• Product development experience for consumer or enterprise markets.
• Experience leading R&D projects or teams serving international customers.
• Leadership skills and excellent English communication.
