Senior Business Systems Analyst (Capital Markets)

Location: Boston or Needham, Massachusetts, United States; on-site in the office 4 days per week with flexibility to work remotely 1 day per week

Salary: USD 90,000–180,000 annual base salary, plus potential bonus or incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Provide application support to investment professionals, traders, and derivatives operations teams.
• Configure, maintain, and enhance Calypso and related custom-built or third-party platforms across the derivatives lifecycle.
• Investigate application, data, workflow, and integration issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolutions.
• Translate business needs into system configurations, process improvements, functional requirements, and tactical technology solutions.
• Design, prototype, test, and implement solutions using SQL and Excel, with appropriate controls and documentation.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders on analysis, deployment, training, knowledge transfer, and ongoing support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, finance, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting, configuring, or enhancing business-critical applications in asset management, capital markets, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of capital markets and the investment lifecycle, with knowledge of derivative instruments and workflows preferred.
• Experience with Calypso, Murex, or a comparable trading or investment-management platform preferred.
• Hands-on SQL experience with relational databases, data investigations, and reconciliation activities, plus strong Excel skills.
• Ability to work from the Boston or Needham office on an on-site basis. Strong analytical, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and collaboration skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in asset management, investment banking, custody, or another capital-markets organization.
• Progress toward or completion of a CFA, CAIA, FRM, or similar professional designation.
