What you will do

• Assess and monitor oncology patients under physician supervision and assist with examinations and procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, maintain central venous access devices, and administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and investigational compounds.
• Provide patient and family education, triage calls, document care, and communicate relevant findings to physicians and care providers.
• Perform protocol-required laboratory collections, vital signs, ECGs, blood draws, infusions, and infusion-reaction documentation.
• Support informed-consent verification, treatment adherence, symptom management, and dose or schedule modification discussions.
• Mentor less experienced nurses and serve as a resource for medical assistants and LPNs.

Requirements

• Current BLS and ACLS certification, or certification obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Current Registered Nursing license in the state where the role is based.
• Experience with IV and venous access device management.
• Experience administering chemotherapy or biotherapy.
• Knowledge of standard oncology care practices, clinical trial procedures, patient safety, and protocol integrity.

Nice to have

• Oncology Certified Nurse certification.
