Application Architect (Mainframe Modernization)

What you will do

• Define, assess, and prioritize mainframe modernization roadmaps based on cost and risk.
• Design software frameworks, systems, products, interfaces, and business application prototypes.
• Identify and resolve weaknesses in framework and application architecture.
• Provide technical leadership to application development teams and conduct design and code reviews.
• Align architecture with business requirements and project goals through stakeholder collaboration.
• Create and maintain documentation for software architecture, integration, application design, and testing guidelines.

Requirements

• Experience architecting large customer change and transformation projects.
• In-depth knowledge of hardware, software, and connectivity between platforms.
• Experience with legacy systems and cloud architecture.
• Preferred: The Open Group Master Certified Architect certification or equivalent.
• Preferred: Hands-on experience in mainframe environments, including modernization, integration, or migration projects.
• Preferred: Strong understanding of z/OS, IBM software products, and third-party mainframe software.
