What you will do
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, modify, overhaul, and operate integrated aircraft electrical and environmental systems, components, and support equipment.
- Maintain and fabricate electrical wiring, harnesses, connectors, and related E&E components.
- Perform maintenance on aircraft electrical, lighting, ignition, flight-control, anti-icing, fire-protection, fuel-control, oxygen, air-conditioning, pressurization, and utility systems.
- Conduct cryogenic maintenance, maintain compressed-gas equipment, and operate aerospace ground equipment.
- Inspect components, interpret findings, verify corrective actions, and determine the operational status of assigned assets.
- Maintain aircraft records, automated maintenance systems, quality documentation, tool control, FOD prevention, and hazardous-material procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 8+ years of tactical Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems experience on fixed-wing or rotary-wing commercial, government, or DoD aircraft.
- Extensive knowledge of T-38 aircraft systems, aircraft electrical concepts, hydraulic principles, flight theory, and servicing procedures.
- Experience supporting DoD contracts and depot-level maintenance, including Air Force Technical Orders, supply procedures, and deficiency reporting.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
Nice to have
- Air Force Specialty Code 2A6X6 Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems experience.
- FAA Airplane and/or Powerplant certification.
- Experience with TCTO application and multiple aviation qualifications or certifications.
- Advanced software application experience.
