Instructional Designer I (Adult Learning)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy classroom and online curriculum for law enforcement and protective services training.
• Define learning objectives, structure course content, and create student and instructor materials.
• Develop course activities, presentation slides, instructional visual aids, manuals, and other training documentation.
• Facilitate curriculum development meetings and collaborate with subject matter experts, instructors, and design team members.
• Lead curriculum design projects by establishing scope, timelines, goals, and requirements.
• Review materials for technical accuracy, clarity, consistency, originality, and alignment with testing and applicable standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; no experience is required with a bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
• Alternatively, an associate’s degree plus two years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus four years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of training, curriculum development, and adult learning principles.
• Must hold a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Employment is contingent on a criminal history investigation and verification of credentials and other required information.
