Aircraft Egress Technician

hirify.global Contract Services provides aircraft maintenance and support services for government and Department of Defense programs.

What you will do

• Maintain T-38 egress systems, including Martin-Baker US16T ejection seats, canopies, hatches, modules, explosive components, personal survival packs, and support equipment.
• Perform operational and functional tests, integrity inspections, and serviceability checks on egress systems and components.
• Safely disarm and inspect Cartridge Activated Devices and Pressure Activated Devices in accordance with shelf-life and service-life limits.
• Diagnose installation, maintenance, and repair issues using schematics, technical publications, test equipment, and maintenance procedures.
• Apply corrosion control procedures, maintain tool and equipment control, and manage hazardous materials in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
• Document maintenance actions, equipment records, quality assurance requirements, and maintenance trends in automated systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience on fixed-wing commercial, government, or Department of Defense aircraft.
• Current practical experience maintaining, servicing, and installing Martin-Baker MK US16T systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical principles related to aircrew egress systems, maintenance directives, schematics, and technical publications.
• Experience supporting DoD contracts and intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance databases.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• Previous Air Force Specialty Code 2A653 or 2A673 experience.
• Federal Aviation Administration Airplane and/or Powerplant certification.
• Advanced software application experience.
