Lab Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Cheney, Washington, United States; onsite laboratory and plant work

Salary: $47,300 per year

What you will do

• Prepare process and finished-product samples and perform instrumental and wet chemistry testing.
• Conduct daily process-monitoring tests throughout the plant and document results.
• Enter and report testing data in a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Notify operations of required adjustments and recommend actions to support product quality standards.
• Perform light maintenance, calibration, equipment checks, cleaning, and supply management.
• Follow applicable FDA, GMP, BATF, EPA, OSHA, and employer safety standards.

Requirements

• Experience operating laboratory equipment such as pH meters, balances, and spectrophotometers.
• Computer skills sufficient to operate laboratory instrument software and commercial applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, troubleshoot issues, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, strong safety awareness, and effective teamwork.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards and complete required safety certifications.

Nice to have

• Previous plant or manufacturing experience.
• Experience with laboratory documentation.
• Strong attendance and safety records.
