Senior Business Process Engineer

What you will do

• Assess complex business processes, workflows, policies, and operating models from end to end.
• Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions to document current-state processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Design future-state processes, standard operating procedures, process maps, value-stream maps, and implementation roadmaps.
• Use data analysis to measure performance, identify root causes, and recommend sustainable improvements.
• Lead continuous-improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and related methodologies.
• Define performance measures, support change management, prepare executive briefings, and ensure deliverables align with federal policies, contracts, governance, and security standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, management, information systems, public administration, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in business process engineering, process improvement, management consulting, operations analysis, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting federal government programs, agencies, or mission environments.
• Proven ability to analyze complex processes and lead cross-functional improvement initiatives through implementation.
• Experience with process-mapping and analysis tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong written, verbal, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills; Public Trust eligibility is required.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt certification.
• Agile certification such as Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP, or SAFe.
• Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Business Process Management, change-management, or PMP certification.
• Experience with federal performance management, governance, modernization, or digital-transformation initiatives.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
