Production Team Manager (Chemical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead daily shop-floor production operations and execute the production plan safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and priorities through daily operational meetings.
• Manage team performance across EHS, process safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.
• Maintain standardized operating practices, workforce discipline, and visual management.
• Partner with maintenance and production scheduling teams to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and fulfill weekly orders on time.
• Drive continuous improvement and promote operational excellence, accountability, and team engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of manufacturing experience in the chemical industry, including frontline operations, team coordination, and production execution.
• Understanding of polymer or formulation manufacturing processes and shop-floor controls.
• Experience collaborating with production planning, maintenance, quality, engineering, and EHS functions.
• Knowledge of EHS and process safety management requirements in chemical manufacturing, plus practical Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Basic English communication skills are required for routine business communication and documentation.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Green Belt certification.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
