TL;DR
Facilities Engineer (Facilities Engineering and Construction): Designing, constructing, commissioning, operating, and maintaining critical facilities and mechanical and electrical systems at Memphis and Southaven sites with an accent on HVAC, high-power systems, cranes, safety systems, and multi-discipline infrastructure projects. Focus on coordinating contractors, managing capital projects and construction contracts, ensuring reliability and maintainability, and responding to facility emergencies and environmental threats.
Location: Memphis, Tennessee, and Southaven, Mississippi, United States. Requires travel to other project sites, extended hours, and weekends as needed.

What you will do
- Coordinate site development and infrastructure projects, schedules, budgets, technical specifications, and capital expenditure processes.
- Manage contractors and subcontractors, including supplier selection, construction contracts, negotiations, and close-out.
- Provide engineering support to ensure construction and maintenance comply with applicable standards, codes, and specifications.
- Commission, operate, and maintain mechanical and electrical facilities systems, including HVAC, high-power equipment, cranes, lighting, doors, roofs, security, and fire protection.
- Develop cost estimates, material requisitions, plans, specifications, and fabrication drawings for multi-discipline projects.
- Ensure installation reliability and maintainability, coordinate permits and inspections, and maintain facility readiness for emergencies, hurricanes, and environmental threats.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in facilities engineering and/or construction.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
- Experience with facility maintenance or construction involving electrical, HVAC, structural, building, road, drainage, or foundation systems.
- Ability to read, review, and approve shop drawings, fabrication drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work in outdoor environments with exposure to heat, cold, rain, fumes, odors, and noise.
Nice to have
- Experience producing AutoCAD drawings for welders and machine-shop fabrication.
- Experience operating boom lifts, man lifts, forklifts, and cranes.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
