Facilities Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: 5 days a week onsite in El Segundo, California; applicants must be U.S. persons under ITAR requirements.

Annual salary: $105,000–$140,000 USD.

What you will do

• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs for machinery and test equipment, including service vendors, spare parts, and downtime escalations.
• Plan and execute power, compressed-air, fume-extraction, and other utility installations with Protoshop engineers.
• Manage facility improvements and new-building buildouts, including scope, contractors, permits, budgets, and schedules.
• Own HVAC, electrical, compressed-air, and fire-protection systems, as well as landlord and facility-vendor relationships.
• Maintain facility layouts and equipment records and support capacity and expansion planning.
• Partner with EHS to ensure installations and building changes meet code and safety requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or industrial/manufacturing engineering in a production environment.
• Experience coordinating equipment installations, utilities, and construction projects with contractors.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, compressed air, ventilation, and machine maintenance.
• Strong project management skills covering scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management.
• U.S. person status as defined by ITAR, including U.S. citizenship, U.S. permanent residence, or protected-person status.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or other AS9100-regulated manufacturing.
• Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Experience with greenfield factory buildouts or multi-site expansion.
• Hands-on, high-ownership approach and comfort building processes from scratch in a fast-moving environment.
