Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, United States. On-site.

What you will do

• Support FSRM, NAF, customer-funded, and MILCON project development, including requirements definition, PWS and SOW preparation, DD 1391 programming documents, cost estimates, briefings, and acquisition packages.
• Review facility designs, standard templates, charrette reports, technical standards, design calculations, drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates for compliance with Air Force and national criteria.
• Develop project management plans, construction management documents, contract award packages, quality assurance plans, funding documents, and NEXGEN project data.
• Support project management, site visits, construction oversight, QA/QC, contractor coordination, technical reviews, change orders, RFIs, and documentation of health and safety hazards.
• Plan and design multi-phase construction, renovation, and improvement projects for real-property facilities and infrastructure, applying mechanical engineering principles.
• Develop project priorities, fiscal-year recommendations, AACE Class III cost estimates, Air Force classifications, approval documents, and automated NEXGEN compliance reports.

Requirements

• Active or current Secret security clearance verifiable in DISS.
• Experience using AutoCAD and E4Clicks or an equivalent tool, with familiarity with RSMeans.
• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in architecture, electrical engineering, civil engineering, or mechanical engineering.
• One qualifying education and experience pathway: a related master's or doctorate plus 10 years of experience in the respective technical or professional discipline, including 5 years in the DoD; or the required bachelor's degree plus 12 years of experience, including 5 years in the DoD; or the required bachelor's degree plus 15 years of directly related experience and proper certifications, including 8 years in the DoD.
• Ability to perform mechanical engineering planning and design for plumbing, potable water and sanitary sewer, HVAC, fire suppression, control and alarm systems, IICS, utility systems, steam plants, hangars, office buildings, and other complex facilities.

Nice to have

• BUILDER and TRIRIGA experience.
• Professional registration or license.
• NEXGEN experience; candidates without it must be willing to learn and use the NEXGEN database.
