Data Engineer (Python)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Chicago or Peoria, Illinois, United States

Salary: $89,210–$144,960 per year

What you will do

• Develop Python data pipelines and business data objects that support applications.
• Design, implement, and deploy CI/CD pipelines and source-to-target mappings as pipeline code.
• Identify and resolve complex application and technical problems, interpreting design requirements for implementation.
• Perform programming, development, unit testing, and integration testing with limited supervision.
• Establish software quality practices and identify areas for team growth and improvement.

Requirements

• Knowledge of software development, software product design, architecture, and the software development life cycle.
• Experience developing software applications in Python and applying object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, Fargate, S3, SageMaker, IAM, and RDS.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Oracle.
