Data Engineer (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Location: Denver, Colorado, USA. Employees must be available to work onsite at a client location or hirify.global office as requested; remote work is allowed when compatible with hirify.global and client needs. Applicants must be authorized to work directly for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Salary: $90,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop data pipelines and other data products using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Advise clients on technologies and methodologies for efficient cloud-based data ingestion and processing.
• Apply engineering best practices to solve complex data problems.
• Collaborate with end users, developers, and business analysts to maximize the value of client data.
• Explain architectural alternatives and their advantages and disadvantages.

Requirements

• Experience delivering solutions on a major cloud platform.
• Experience designing and implementing data architecture solutions.
• Production database experience, including substantial SQL expertise, database administration, and scripting data pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver production data pipelines and other data products.
• Ability to connect architectural recommendations with business needs and client culture.
• Authorization to work directly for any US employer without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL, Python, Java, R, C#, or C/C++.
• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Redshift, Aurora, Presto, BigQuery, or Oracle.
• Experience with Git, Docker, Subversion, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Spark, Databricks, Kafka, Kinesis, Hadoop, Lambda, or EMR.
• Relevant AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certifications.
