Principal Technical Program Manager (Compute)

Location: Office-based roles are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday. Headquarters-based roles are located in San Mateo, California.

What you will do

• Lead technical programs for next-generation compute infrastructure across Roblox services.
• Define problem spaces, gather user requirements, and drive engineering teams to plan and ship large-scale systems.
• Establish roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and execution plans across multidisciplinary teams.
• Align senior leadership and stakeholders around program priorities and long-term goals.
• Unblock engineering teams and enable reliable management of all project phases.
• Use data-driven decisions to improve scale, performance, quality, reliability, innovation, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in the software industry driving large-scale infrastructure development.
• Technical leadership experience with systems and software for cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms such as AWS, and AI/ML infrastructure.
• Experience delivering end-to-end technical programs through roadmapping and execution.
• Ability to identify critical technical problems, understand user needs, and scope and plan solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience building trust across multidisciplinary teams.
