Electrical Engineer III (Helicopter)

What you will do

• Research customer proposals, specifications, manuals, and technical data to assess electrical design feasibility.
• Design electrical systems and subsystems supporting aircraft integration, research, and maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate, troubleshoot, and approve electrical installation activities and inspection services.
• Prepare electrical drawings and specifications, including wiring diagrams, cable harnesses, cable routing, and electrical assemblies.
• Select electrical components, cables, connectors, circuit breakers, relays, and related parts.
• Prepare client briefings, test plans, airworthiness reports, electrical load analyses, and system safety assessments while coordinating with engineering, program, quality, production, and client stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college.
• 8–10 years of job-related experience, preferably in aviation and military aircraft such as the UH-60 or AH-64.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to maintain an active security clearance.
• Ability to travel as required; some supervisory responsibilities may be included.
