JBATA- Data Engineer (SQL)

Location: 100% on-site at the hirify.global headquarters in San Diego, California, United States

Salary: $30.00 per hour, plus eligible discretionary bonus targets of 10% cash and 10% restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Rotate across Data Engineering areas, with a path toward permanent placement in a selected area of focus.
• Develop and maintain SQL jobs, stored procedures, functions, tables, indexes, and SSIS packages.
• Build data transformation, cleansing, aggregation, staging, caching, and transfer solutions.
• Define and execute data validation, unit testing, integration testing, data profiling, and quality-control methods.
• Analyze data flows, troubleshoot database performance and replication issues, and review SQL code for standards and performance.
• Collaborate with IT, data management, project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to launch dashboards and cross-platform solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL Server database development and testing.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of SSIS packages.
• Knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and Assignment Rules.
• Exposure to integrations with cloud-based and on-premise systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
