Lead Process Operator (Battery Materials)

Location: Onsite in Billerica, Massachusetts, United States; 3rd shift operational hours are 10 PM–7 AM.

Salary: $33.85–$46.56 per hour, plus a $2.25 per-hour 3rd-shift differential.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day activities for carbon nanostructure production and provide work guidance to operators on shift.
• Set up and operate chemical processing equipment while following work instructions, safe operating procedures, and quality control plans.
• Interpret in-process analytical testing and adjust systems to maintain process control and operational performance.
• Coordinate weekly tasks, maintenance plans, work allocation, resources, schedules, raw materials, and inventory.
• Interface with engineers and technical personnel on production yields, product quality, equipment issues, process changes, and R&D deployments.
• Execute process improvements, train operators, maintain records, and uphold plant safety and Responsible Care requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of chemical manufacturing experience and solid knowledge of chemical manufacturing equipment, processes, and operations.
• Ability to provide clear instructions, lead team responses, and handle critical situations.
• Safety awareness, attention to detail, communication, active listening, organization, and record-keeping skills.
• Familiarity with computers and related applications, plus flexibility to handle changing assignments.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and use material-handling equipment.

• Additional trade education or certification.
