TL;DR
Cybersecurity Analyst (Aerospace and Defense): Analyzing security events, vulnerabilities, risks, and compliance evidence across corporate, engineering, and regulated-program environments with an accent on security operations, incident response, and NIST/CMMC requirements. Focus on investigating suspicious activity, coordinating remediation, maintaining audit-ready documentation, and protecting CUI and export-controlled data.

Location: Onsite in Folsom, California; candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and hold or obtain the required U.S. security clearance.

Base salary: $125,000–$165,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Monitor and analyze security alerts, endpoint events, identity events, email-security findings, and other security signals.
  • Investigate suspicious activity, document findings, recommend remediation, and escalate incidents.
  • Analyze vulnerabilities, configuration gaps, endpoint posture, and control weaknesses, coordinating remediation with IT, networking, cloud, and system owners.
  • Support threat hunting, log reviews, detection improvements, tabletop exercises, and incident-response drills.
  • Maintain security plans, POA&Ms, control evidence, risk registers, procedures, and remediation trackers.
  • Support NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, DFARS, ITAR/EAR, NASA, DoD, and contractor assessment requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in information technology, security, or engineering, or 8+ years of related military experience with applicable security certifications.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required upon hire and ability to maintain a U.S. security clearance.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cyber analysis, security operations, vulnerability management, IT security, compliance, GRC, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of endpoint security, identity security, vulnerability management, incident response, risk analysis, and security operations.
  • Experience with regulated-environment frameworks and requirements including NIST, CMMC, DFARS, ITAR/EAR, or CUI.
  • Must be a U.S. Person under applicable ITAR/EAR requirements and eligible to obtain required export authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanning, GRC, ticketing, or cloud-security tools such as Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Splunk, Tenable, Rapid7, ServiceNow GRC, Archer, or Drata.
  • Experience with Microsoft GCC High, Azure Government, FedRAMP, GovCloud, or secure collaboration environments.
  • Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GSEC, CISA, CISM, CRISC, or CMMC RP.
