Communications Strategist (Insurance)

Location: Milwaukee, WI Corporate; hybrid and onsite work indicated

Salary: $75,600–$113,400 per year

What you will do

• Manage and implement communication programs, projects, initiatives, and campaigns across multiple channels.
• Consult with Underwriting, Claims, and Product, Purchase, and Claims initiative leaders on communication strategy and execution.
• Translate underwriting and claims priorities, process changes, and operational updates into clear, actionable communications.
• Develop compelling content tailored to financial advisors, employees, clients, and other stakeholder groups.
• Coordinate with Strategic Communications and cross-functional partners to use corporate channels effectively.
• Administer and analyze communication metrics to evaluate effectiveness and return on communication investment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6 or more years of experience in professional communications, public relations, organizational communications, marketing, or a related field.
• Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Superior verbal and written communication, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to absorb complex information and convert it into understandable formats for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to adapt communication styles, build consensus, analyze information, and solve complex problems.
