What you will do

• Perform periodic, hourly, special, and calendar inspections on rotary-wing aircraft.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, rig, repair, and modify aircraft structures, components, and systems.
• Maintain landing gear, flight controls, anti-icing, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel, ventilation, heating, cooling, and other mechanical systems.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore aircraft systems and components to operational condition.
• Interpret manufacturers’ manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and repair specifications.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, or 6 years of verifiable RDT&E experience in rotary-wing Army Aviation maintenance.
• Thorough knowledge of UH-60, 530, and CH-47 systems, including hydraulics, structures, engines, APU, and electrical systems.
• FAA A&P/P license or completion of a military aircraft engine repairer school for 701D/T55/250 series.
• Completion of a military or vocational school in turbine engine repair and experience with military installation depot-level maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Nice to have

• Engine/APU flight-line production or expediter experience.
• Previous UH-60, CH-47, or 530 Level II aircraft engine mechanic experience.
• Knowledge of Garrett, Sundstrand, or CH-47 APUs.
