Location: Sierra Vista, AZ (Fort Huachuca), United States; onsite work with 10–25% travel and possible deployment

What you will do

  • Support safe daily aircraft maintenance and flight-line operations at a test and training site.
  • Maintain Group 3–5 UAS air vehicles, subsystems, electrical systems, and mechanical systems.
  • Follow FAA, ICAO, DoD, DCMA, Technical Order, airworthiness, safety, FOD, tool-control, and property-control procedures.
  • Complete digital and paper maintenance records, aircraft status logs, configuration updates, failure tracking, and parts accounting.
  • Prepare technical reports and briefings for operations managers and engineering.
  • Work varying schedules, extended hours, shifts, and travel or deployment with relatively short notice.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and 3+ years of flight-line maintenance or UAS flight-operations experience preferred.
  • Experience with Group 3–5 UAS, aircraft technical manuals, line- and site-level maintenance, and repairs.
  • Experience installing and maintaining electrical systems, reading schematics, troubleshooting, and using multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active SECRET DoD security clearance are required.
  • OCONUS aviation work experience, normal color vision, corrected 20/20 visual acuity, and a clean background check are required.
  • Annual FAA Class 3 flight physical and medical and dental clearance for deployment are required.

Nice to have

  • FAA A&P or equivalent certification.
  • Composite repair experience.
  • Ability to obtain Crew Chief designation after initial training.
