Global 6500 A&P Mechanic III - Deploy Only (Aerospace)

Location: Shalimar, Florida, United States; frequent travel to customer locations and extended OCONUS deployments on an approximate 60/60 rotation.

What you will do

• Lead scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance projects.
• Perform complex diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting on aircraft airframes and engines.
• Mentor and guide junior mechanics.
• Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain efficient workflow.
• Promote safety protocols and identify and mitigate hazards in office, field, and deployed environments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of relevant experience; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Business jet experience and advanced aircraft airframe and engine maintenance skills.
• Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations.
• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Ability to deploy for extended periods to OCONUS locations, meet DoD and Combatant Command requirements, and pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
• Current valid passport and ability to obtain visas for international travel; willingness to work extended hours, holidays, shifts, and an approximate 60/60 deployment rotation.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree in Aviation Maintenance or a related field.
• Global 6500 experience and experience with specific aircraft models.
• FAA repair station or quality assurance experience.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and aerospace, defense, DoD, or U.S. military environments.
