Test Engineer (Defense Test and Evaluation)

Location: BLIS - Fort Bliss, Texas, United States; travel of up to 25% may be required for customer locations, field testing, technical reviews, and program execution.

What you will do

• Develop and manage test requirements, plans, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Plan and execute developmental and operational test events across the system lifecycle.
• Configure and integrate hardware, software, instrumentation, test environments, and data collection systems.
• Coordinate government stakeholders, engineering teams, and multidisciplinary test personnel.
• Supervise field operations, logistics, data collection, data management, verification, and validation activities.
• Analyze test results and prepare technical reports, briefings, charts, findings, deficiencies, and recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physical science, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• At least eight years of experience in developmental testing, operational testing, systems engineering, or test and evaluation programs.
• Experience developing and executing test plans, test procedures, and technical documentation.
• Experience with data collection, analysis, verification, validation, quality assurance, and reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, technical writing, and presentation skills.
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• Department of Defense Test and Evaluation program experience.
• Experience as a Test Team Lead or Site Lead, including multi-site or complex test events.
• Knowledge of instrumentation systems, data acquisition, data management, cost estimation, and logistics documentation.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
