Senior Test Engineer (Air and Missile Defense)

Location: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama, United States; travel to DoD test ranges is required.

What you will do

• Plan and execute tests for a complex Air and Missile Defense system supporting the US Army.
• Participate in SIL, HWIL, Distributed Ground Testing, System Qualification Testing, and Field Testing.
• Develop test plans, requirements, procedures, test case matrices, presentations, and post-test reports.
• Resolve test incident reports and maintain comprehensive test documentation in accordance with DoD standards.
• Organize weekly test planning meetings and support stakeholder meetings, including T&E WIPTs.
• Prepare weekly activity reports, SITREPs, test calendars, asset status updates, and EXSUMs.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active US Secret security clearance are required.
• Master’s degree in STEM or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of engineering experience, including defense systems and government-related test engineering projects.
• Thorough knowledge of DoD testing and integration of complex defense systems, including current test regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced test execution team with government, prime contractor, agency, and laboratory stakeholders.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, time management, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Air and Missile Defense command-and-control concepts and operations.
• Familiarity with government acquisition processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of agile methodology testing.
