GMD DevSecOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; travel up to 15% required

What you will do

• Architect and provision scalable, repeatable DevSecOps infrastructure with Terraform.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications and microservices on Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for software build, testing, and deployment.
• Administer IDDE systems across AWS and Azure, including infrastructure, tools, Windows Active Directory, and user accounts.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers on STIG evaluation and implementation, and integrate automated security and code-scanning tools into CI/CD pipelines.
• Prepare infrastructure documentation, support releases, and manage complex deployment orchestration.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree with 20 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, automated CI/CD pipelines, AWS, and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience administering Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and SCCM.
• Experience with STIG analysis, deployment orchestration, security tools, code scanning, and development environments such as Coder.
• CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain or maintain a DoW security clearance.

Nice to have

• Professional-level AWS or Azure certifications.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist certification.
• Advanced familiarity with GitLab for repositories, pipeline execution, and backlog management.
