TL;DR
RTC - Flight Engineer (H-47) (Aviation Maintenance and Flight Testing): Supporting Army Flight Test Directorate maintenance test flights, functional check flight operations, aircraft troubleshooting, and flight records management with an accent on H-47 rotary-wing aircraft maintenance, flight engineering, and test and evaluation. Focus on performing in-flight engineering duties, maintaining NVG and aircraft currency, meeting Army flight-hour requirements, and supporting training and annual evaluations.

hirify.global provides aviation maintenance, flight operations, repair, and developmental and operational test and evaluation support for the US Army Flight Test Directorate.

What you will do

  • Perform flight engineer duties and in-flight support for pilots in accordance with applicable Service and FAA standards.
  • Complete maintenance test flights and functional check flight operations on AFTD aircraft.
  • Provide aviation maintenance and repair services for aircraft, aviation systems, and associated support equipment.
  • Perform fault isolation, troubleshooting, and organizational/intermediate-level maintenance.
  • Manage contractor pilot and non-rated crewmember flight records.
  • Assist with student training and train others in flight engineer duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • FAA A&P license or completion of military aircraft repairer school for the H-47 series, plus at least 7 years of aircraft maintenance experience or 4 years of verifiable rotary-wing Army Aviation RDT&E maintenance experience.
  • Military installation DEPOT-level maintenance experience and experience with safety, documentation, HAZMAT, training, licensing, scheduling, production control, and management.
  • Meet the minimum Flight Engineer flight-hour requirements under AR 95-20 and qualify for the applicable aircraft platform.
  • Hold a current FAA or military Class III Medical Certificate and maintain APU, NVG, and aircraft currency.
  • Must be a US citizen and have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
