Senior Front-End Engineer (React)

Location: Ventura, California, United States. Telecommuting is permitted only within normal commuting distance of the Ventura office.

Salary: $174,782–$249,700 per year, plus potential stock-based and variable compensation.

What you will do

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, researchers, business stakeholders, and engineers to define feature scope, requirements, risks, designs, estimates, and success metrics.
• Develop and maintain frontend and backend components using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, C#, .NET, GraphQL, and SQL.
• Enhance web interfaces and multi-step user workflows across database, API, and UI layers.
• Design, test, deploy, troubleshoot, and support software throughout the full development lifecycle.
• Diagnose distributed systems with observability tools, and build dashboards and alerts for reliability.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications using GitLab or GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Vercel, or comparable technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, plus at least four years of experience in the offered role or a related role.
• At least four years of experience developing frontend applications with JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, React, associated testing tools, Git, and other software development tools.
• At least three years of experience building complex user interfaces, C# and .NET API services, SQL Server systems, distributed-system observability, and Agile or Scrum methodologies with JIRA.
• At least two years of experience designing GraphQL APIs, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and deploying applications with cloud or containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with automated and manual testing, technical design documentation, design reviews, and software quality standards.
