Software Engineer II (Python Fullstack Developer)

Location: Onsite in Vadodara, India, 5 days per week; shift: 11:00 AM–8:00 PM IST. Remote applicants will not be considered.

What you will do

• Design and implement backend systems for a HIPAA-compliant behavioral health patient portal.
• Own complex features end-to-end, from architecture and system design through deployment.
• Integrate external EHR systems through asynchronous, event-driven pipelines.
• Build frontend features in React as needed.
• Contribute to technical decisions and improve engineering standards across the team.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production applications with Python, Django, or similar stacks.
• Strong systems-thinking skills, including distributed state, failure modes, and long-term design trade-offs.
• Deep SQL and data-modeling experience, including migrations, query optimization, and schema design.
• Experience with asynchronous workflows, event-driven architecture, and message queues.
• Proficiency with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, and SNS, or comparable services.
• React experience and daily proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare or other compliance-heavy domains.
• Experience integrating EHRs or third-party platforms.
• Interest in developing toward technical leadership.
