Senior Merchandise Manager: Kitchen, Housewares & Decor (Ecommerce)

What you will do

• Develop and execute strategic merchandise plans for kitchen, housewares, and decor assortments.
• Manage profit and loss, merchandising costs, performance schedules, and assigned contracts.
• Analyze customer, competitor, market, financial, operational, and industry data to forecast demand and identify product needs.
• Evaluate suppliers, develop vendor relationships, source new supply options, and monitor quality and fulfillment performance.
• Create inventory plans and recommend procurement improvements that increase service and quality or reduce costs.
• Collaborate with management, cross-functional teams, and Marketing on merchandising strategies and promotional calendars.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of merchandising experience in lifestyle classifications, including 3+ years of management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong collaboration, communication, interpersonal, time management, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, solve problems creatively, and meet competing deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Managers must be able to influence across the organization, coach direct reports, and hire and lead diverse teams.

Nice to have

• SQL skills.
• Graduate degree in Merchandising, Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or a related field.
