TL;DR
Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op (Food Ingredients) (Process Engineering): Supporting plant trials, production troubleshooting, experimental reporting, capital projects, and process design with an accent on process safety management, unit operations, and engineering fundamentals. Focus on executing trials, designing manufacturing processes, analyzing material and energy balances, and addressing daily production and maintenance issues.

Location: Pryor, Oklahoma, USA; onsite. Some shift work may be required.

What you will do

  • Support engineers with plant trials and troubleshooting of daily production and maintenance issues.
  • Write experimental outlines, execute trials, and report findings.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to manufacturing operations.
  • Support capital projects and process design.
  • Apply process safety management principles in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a BS degree in engineering, preferably mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering.
  • The program is not designed for students who already hold a BS degree or are pursuing graduate-level studies.
  • Ability to work safely and comply with corporate and site SHE guidelines and policies.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Compliance with guidelines established by the educational institution's career services center.

Nice to have

  • Food industry experience or exposure to continuous improvement and Six Sigma.
  • Minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Strong mathematics and statistics background with technical aptitude for unit operations.
