Transportation Engineer - In - Training

Location: Austin or San Antonio, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work

hirify.global is an infrastructure planning and design firm working on water supplies, roadways, bridges, disaster resilience, and other community infrastructure projects.

What you will do

• Support transportation engineering and project development for municipalities, counties, and TxDOT clients.
• Apply engineering criteria, design standards, and applicable design manuals to complete assigned work.
• Gather and analyze data, perform calculations, and prepare plans, specifications, reports, and studies.
• Coordinate drafting and design activities and provide direction to CAD technicians, entry-level engineers, and interns.
• Interface with clients, build project relationships, and coordinate assignments within approved scopes and schedules.
• Perform quality control on deliverables and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience performing engineering tasks in a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent field.
• General understanding of civil engineering and transportation projects.
• Certification of Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.

Nice to have

• OpenRoads Designer experience.
